"Let's go racing" In October 2010 the idea struck James and his father Richard as they were driving home from the final round of BTCC at Brands Hatch having been avid fans of Touring Cars for a number of years. After a visit to Autosport at the NEC Birmingham in January 2011 followed by an ARDS test in February and the plan was in place. "You must be crazy" that's what people told James before his first ever race at Silverstone in April 2011, after all James had never raced a kart never mind a car. The Ford Fiesta Championship was the chosen series competing in a Class B Fiesta Zetec Racing at some of the country's finest circuits including Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Silverstone and Snetterton James soon became a series competitor which saw him achieve 4th overall at the end of the 2011 season 2012 saw us competing in the Class C Fiesta ST Championship. this is a very competitive series featuring large grids of 23 plus cars in which James achieved a very credible 9th place overall. In 2011 & 2012 we were run by Daniels Motorsport 2013 brings a new challenge this year APPLEBY RACING have bought their own car, a brand new build Fiesta ST and are learning to run it in conjunction with SF Racing a team managed by Mark Tilbury a very successful competitor in Fiestas and Renault Clio, Mark as well as mentoring James will also be his team mate this year. SF Racing will prepare and set up the car and both cars will run in team colours.
